- Exploration of various Native American cultures of the Americas
- The history of the United States and its neighboring countries
- Use of a text book as well as materials from other sources.
- Map skills and knowledge of various graphs
- Current events will be used from time to time

THE CURRENT EVENTS CAN BE FOUND IN BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE NEWSPAPERS, MAGAZINES, INTERNET, OR TELEVISION BROADCASTS. THE NEWSPAPERS AND MAGAZINES CANNOT BE ANY TABLOIDS. THEY MUST BE REPUTABLE PUBLICATIONS.
WRITING REQUIREMENT: PICK ONE OF YOUR CURRENT EVENTS. THEN EXPLAIN ON LOOSELEAF IN 7-10 SENTENCES HOW YOU THINK THIS EVENT INFLUENCED HISTORY FOR THAT DAY OR FOR FUTURE DAYS .
