The 60’s...

TTW introduce project by talking about the

major events of the 1960s; TSW brainstorm events he/she knows of from the decade.

 

Class will discuss the politics, fashion, music, sports, etc of the decade.

 

TTW pass out packets listing the major events occurring in the 1960s (civil rights, moon walk, etc) and students will pick an event most meaningful to him/her.

TSW begin to plan out 1960’s style poster commemorating the event.

Parents: Students will need to bring in a plain white t-shirt this week to tie-dye.

Class will discuss the politics, fashion, music, sports, etc of the decade.

 

TTW introduce two major fads of the decade: jewelry made of twine and beads and tie-dye shirts.

  • TTW demonstrate how to make twine-rope jewelry and pass out supplies.
