January 2008
A BIG THANK YOU!
Thank you for all of my generous gifts that I receieved before we went on our holiday break. I received great things like bath sets, lotions, wonderful tree ornaments, candles, picture frames and something that everyone in my class will appreciate: dry-erase markers.
Thank you to all of the parents who donated to our holiday celebration on the 20th of December. All students should have brought home a gift for their parents as well as a gift from myself.
REMINDER:
Scheduled parent-teacher conferences will be held on the 16th of January unless otherwise arranged. If you have not signed up for an appointment and would like to meet with me, please call the school ASAP or send me an e-mail with the date and time that would work best for you.
HOMEWORK POLICY CHANGED:
Students were sent home with a copy of the new homework policy for our class during 2nd semester. Students will be responsible for completeing five homework problems per night as well as their nightly spelling homework which is not due until Friday. The change in homework policy comes in order to prepare students for the fifth grade transition as well as to hold students resposible for a small amount of work which they will be held accountable for the following day.
DONATIONS NEEDED
Our classroom is running low on kleenex as well as dry-erase markers. If you are able to donate any of these items, it would be greatly appreciated.
