Folders and Behavior Report
Each day your child will come home with his/her folder. This folder will contain the weekly newsletter which includes the daily behavior report, the monthly homework calendar, work completed in class, and any important papers that may need to be returned.

The newsletter will be stapled to the outside of the folder, and your child’s behavior will be marked on the calendar on the inside of the folder each day. Happy faces will let you know that your child had a wonderful kindergarten day! A wiggly smile will tell you that your child continued to make a wrong choice after being warned. (I always give a second chance to make a better choice before moving to wiggly smile.) A straight face will let you know that your child continued to make wrong choices after being warned and after a time-out.
***Please know that we encourage and motivate students to make the best possible choices, and we congratulate all students who do. Understand that an occassional smile is not a reason to be alarmed. Kindergarten is a grade in which students are learning how to be students, and an occassional wiggly smile just helps to lead students in the correct path of what is appropriate classroom behavior.

Please check your child’s folder every night and initial daily on the behavior report.
Thank you,
Mrs. Simmons and Mrs. O'Mar
