Newsletter - Week of May 21
Last updated May 20th, 2012 at 6:38 a.m.Dear Parents,
We are looking forward to our field trip to the Florida Aquarium on Tuesday.
The children should wear regular school uniforms and bring a bag lunch. We will leave shortly after 8:30 and return about 2:00. The children will have a special hands-on program when we first arrive at the aquarium. When they tour the exhibits, they will look for information to complete an activity booklet. This reinforces our classroom learning. It will be a fun day!
Field trip lunches are available from Chef Susan.
She’ll prepare and pack your child’s bag lunch. Parents going on the field trip are welcome to order a lunch as well. The lunch includes a croissant sandwich (choice of ham & cheese or turkey & cheese), chips, fresh fruit, cookie, and bottled water. If you would like to order a lunch, please send a regular lunch ticket (or $4 cash) with your sandwich order (ham or turkey) on Monday morning. This is the latest lunch orders may be placed for the field trip.
Please return library books.
All items checked out from the school library should be returned. Notices were sent home last week if your child has items checked out. If you cannot locate an item, please contact Mrs. Cavanaugh.

Practice Bible Verse:
Ask your child if he has recited Psalm 23. Last week, 13 children could recite the entire passage!
The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not be in want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He restores my soul. Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for you are with me. Your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil, my cup overflows. Surely goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever. Psalm 23:1-6
