English 9 Course Information

Copies of the syllabus (course description, procedures, expectations, grading policy, etc.) are available in the FILES section of this website.  

General Information/Procedures 

1. Students are expected to come prepared to class EVERYDAY!  That means:

  • Pen/pencil
  • Notebook/Journal
  • Folder
  • Textbook
  • Agenda - Always write your assignments in your agenda book

2. All homework is due at the beginning of each class period.  Students who miss assignments will receive a ZERO.   

3. Students will receive a progress report (for only their English 9 class) at the end of every academic cycle.  These progress reports are handed out by the teacher to each student on the last day of the academic cycle.  Reports show the student's current grade and the assignments that are missing.  Progress reports must be signed by parents/guardians for a homework grade and are due when students return to English 9 from shop cycle.

Students are responsible for writing daily assignments and due dates in their school agendas.  Students should carry their agendas with them to every class, everyday.  Parents and guardians can check their son/daughter's agenda book to make sure students are documenting assignments and due dates.
