Daily-  2 & 3 digit addition or subtraction practice

Daily-  Meeting Board Skills:  counting money, telling time/elapsed time, calendar, pattern, problem of the day, number sentences/number of the day, temperature/thermometer, skip counting, capacity conversion problems (ex. pints to cups) 

Daily-  fact practice-  subtraction:  Subtracting 3 & 4-  Differences of 3 and 4;  multiplication  x 5 ;  Review 0s, 1s, 2s, 7s, and 10s

Monday-  Saxon 64:  Showing Three- and Four-Digit Numbers Using Base Ten Blocks; Writing Three and Four-Digit Numbers for a Model or a Picture
Multiplying by 5

Tuesday- Saxon:  Subtraction Facts:  Subtracting 3 and 4; Differences of 3 and 4

Wednesday- Saxon:  Written Assessment 12; Setting a Dial and Determining Elapsed Time

Thursday- Saxon:   Identifying the Missing Addend in a `some, some more` story
 
Friday- Saxon:   Writing Numbers to 1,000 Using Words;  Multiplication x 5 Timed Test!!!

We must increase the rigor of our 3rd grade work to prepare for iLEAP and the new Common Core State Standards.  Please be aware of the following:

-The next 100 basic addition fact test that we complete will count as much as a written assessment. 

-We are working on multiplication facts.  Please make flash cards to practice at home.  These will be tested just as the addition and subtraction facts have been.  They DO count as part of the math grade.
