Dates & Guidlines
Dates for 2011/2012
- Performance dates are as follows:
5th through 8th grade band perfromance trip tentative date is Monday December 19th.
Christmas Concert, Wednesday December 21st (includes 4th grade band)
Showcase Concert, Tuesday March 27th (CHANGE) (grades 4 through 8 and Jazz Ensemble)
Spring Concert, Thursday May 17th (grades 4 through 8 and Jazz Ensemble)
(All concerts begin at 6:30pm and are held in the Gathering Space)
- Band rehearsals are as scheduled:
4th graded Cadet Band, Tuesdays 2:45 – 3:30pm (first rehearsal 11/08)
5th grade Concert Band, Mondays 2:45 – 3:30pm (first rehearsal 9/12)
6–8th grade Wind Ensemble, Wednesdays 2:45 – 3:30pm (first rehearsal 9/14)
(Thursdays are extra rehearsal days for middle school, to be arranged and communicated prior to rehearsals)
Jazz Ensemble, Thursdays 2:45 – 3:30pm (first rehearsal 1/05. On an every other week basis.)
Guidelines
- Please communicate to the school office or to me directly any scheduled after school absences such as dentist appointments or the like. Remember that my knowing their whereabouts is very important.
- Occasionally lessons are missed due to fieldtrips taken by homerooms or other school functions. A good faith effort will be made to make up these lessons.
- You may pay the entire year’s tuition all at once, or send your payment by the installment due dates. The option is entirely yours. Timely payment is important. Try not to be late. I rely on your good efforts. However, if any special circumstance should arise and paying the band tuition on time is not possible, please communicate with me right away.
- Participation in all performances scheduled above is a requirement for being in the band. Your child’s role in the concert selections we perform is vital to the success of the performance.
